As a follow-up of the extremely successful exhibition on Dieric Bouts, the next exhibition around the Flemish Master from Leuven has now opened at Museum M.And looks beneath what the eye can see, revealing research and imaging perspectives behind the painter and his art.
This joint project of M Leuven, IPARC and KIK allows you to discover everything about the practice of Dieric Bouts through six iconic artworks. Find out how he made them, the composition of the various layers, whether Bouts is the sole mastermind behind the works we attribute to him, and how they have been restored in recent times – some 500 years later.
