Charlotte Sevrin
Partner Painting Conservation
Charlotte Sevrin (°B, 1990) is a curator-restorer of paintings who graduated in 2013 from ENSAV la Cambre in Brussels. She continued her training by completing an internship at the Royal Institute of Art Heritage. She is also a member of the professional association of conservators-restorers in works of art, APROA.
During her professional career, Charlotte Sevrin gradually specialized in the conservation-restoration of works of the Flemish masters of the 16th and 17th centuries, and more specifically of work of large format. As a freelancer, she was in charge of the restoration of paintings by Antoon Van Dyck, Maarten de Vos and Giovanni Cariani, now exhibited at the Rubenshuis.
In 2017-2018, at IRPA, she was involved in the major restoration project of paintings by Theodore Van Loon, from the Beguinage of Brussels.
Charlotte has been working at IPARC since 2015, first as a freelancer, consequentl,y from 2018 on, as an employee and is now becoming a partner in 2023.
Since 2018, as restorer and studio manager of IPARC’s painting workshop, she has had the opportunity to restore many old paintings, including works by Gerard Seghers, Antoon Van Dyck, Gaspard de Crayer, Theodoor van Loon, Jacob Jordaens, Rogier van der Weyden, Michiel Coxie, etc. Also within the IPARC studio, Charlotte was able to develop her passion and skills for the treatment of large format works.
Charlotte has had the opportunity to share her knowledge and discoveries by publishing articles and giving lectures.
