The last retouches in gold leaf on the more than 30 meter long, beautiful paneling in the side aisle of the cathedral in Antwerp.

The paneling consists of different materials: wood, stone, paper and cloth. The polychrome finish on these materials was cleaned, impurities fixed in the layers of paint, curled up paper coats of arms and marouflages smoothed and fixed, gaps filled and the whole retouched.

In the Venerabel Chapel, flooding caused serious damage to the gold leaf finish on the plaster layer. The three bays with the greatest damage were reconstructed, the other bays were fixed, filled and retouched.

The wooden choir stalls were treated against woodworm and waxed.

The paintings in the paneling and the wooden choir stalls were also treated.
